We’ve asked the team at Phlo to share their personal favourite up-and-coming apps for 2020 to boost productivity and save money. From stock investing to award-winning time management apps, we’ve covered it all. So without further ado, let’s dive in and hear what Phlo’s team members recommend:
“I'm a Freetrade app junkie. Their business model is ambitious and disruptive (zero commission, execution-only stock trading) operating in a regulated environment. Their app is clean and straightforward to use. It's integrated with Intercom so I can talk to their team, it's iterated frequently as they automate more of their back-end services, they publish an open roadmap on Trello so I know what'll be shipped and everything is backed by a vibrant community forum. It's that whole package that makes it work for me. Others are clearly fans too as they've landed a decent funding round recently. For me, it's one to watch as competitors' apps and business models will surely need to react soon.”
“As a marketer, there’s a million things that constantly require my attention every day, and having the ability to schedule messages for later is really useful and helps me organise my day better. Since my phone doesn’t have an inbuilt feature to schedule SMS, I’ve been using the Do it Later app for message scheduling, which I really like. Do it Later is absolutely great for just writing the message while it's fresh in your mind: just schedule it for when you want it to send, then forget all about it.”
“I am a big fan of the Plum app. The app works out how much you can afford to save and puts the money aside for you. It’s an absolutely great way to save money on a daily basis. Its rounding up feature is especially useful. Once you’ve enabled it, Plum rounds up every transaction to the nearest whole pound, then sets aside that extra amount to your Plum savings.”
“I use Any.do for daily to-do lists and reminders. I like it because I can group and label tasks, share them and get the satisfaction of crossing things off my to-do list. Any.do is a sanity saver for working parents: it focuses me on what is most important that day and what I can do tomorrow to reduce stress and organise my life better. It also uses growing trees to show progress on tasks!”
“I would totally recommend Wonderbill. It's a bill management app that not only helps you keep track of your bills but also helps you find better deals personalised for you!”
