Here is a summary of the latest measures implemented by the UK Government in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, along with some guidance on how to best take care of yourself.
As of March 23rd, the Government is imposing a lockdown. This means that you may only leave your home for the following reasons:

Now more than ever, a collective effort from the British public is imperative in order to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. Following these guidelines is absolutely essential for your personal safety and the safety of your family and those around you.
Remember, COVID-19 is not the flu. If you are a young person, do not assume you are invincible. Serious cases are being reported in the younger population, and you can transmit the virus to the vulnerable and wider population.
Government advice is clear, there is no need to stockpile. There are no shortages of food. Food manufacturing has geared up to meet increased demands, and supermarkets across the UK are hiring more staff to support this.
Do go out shopping as infrequently as possible, but do not buy excessive amounts of products.
Be responsible and think of others such as NHS workers, essential workers, the elderly and disabled who might not have access to the items they need.
Practice good social distancing: keep 2m (3 steps) away from other people at all times if you have to go outside.
Continue to practice good hygiene. Wash your hands regularly throughout the day for at least 20 seconds and if you need to cough, do so into the crook of your elbow or into a tissue. Do not touch your face with your hands. Use hand sanitizer and/or soap and warm water if available.
