What you’ll do

Phlo Digital Pharmacy is expanding our Marketing team and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Media and Content Executive to join us at a hugely exciting time for the company.

We are looking for someone with energy, creative flair and a keen eye for detail to create and evolve Phlo’s content and social media strategy across all of our channels.

You’ll be sitting within a busy and thriving marketing team, working closely with Digital Marketing and Product Marketing functions, as well as a talented team of in-house designers.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be working closely with our existing Marketing team to lead on the creation and implementation of a brand-new content and social media strategy for the business as we scale-up quickly.

  • You’ll be responsible for developing and evolving quarterly content calendars which incorporates website and landing page copy, blog post writing, newsletter creation, app store copy and email marketing copy in line with the teams marketing campaigns and projects.
  • You’ll be responsible for the creation of a social media content strategy across each of our platforms. This will involve working with our talented in-house design team to come up with fresh creative ideas and themes that ensures that our patients are engaged with us across all social platforms – Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Working with our Digital Marketing Team to help them develop tailored advertising copy across Google Adwords, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram for our different audiences.
  • Perform competitor analysis and identify opportunities for improvements across our website and social channels.
  • Monitor and report on content and social media performance and growth metrics.
  • Act as the Phlo brand custodian across our social channels, ensuring we build trust with our audiences and continuously drive positive brand engagement.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to amplify content from brand content including influencer partnerships and PR opportunities.
  • Explore, test and learn new channels (eg. TikTok, Health podcasts etc).
  • Working with the team to ensure that web content is SEO optimised where applicable.
  • Ownership of day-to-day social media and community management.


  • 2+ years’ experience managing and growing social media accounts across multiple social platforms with responsibility for strategy as well as execution.
  • Previous experience in creating online content for websites, blogs, videos, newsletters, landing pages or email campaigns.
  • A strong creative curiosity, a passion for storytelling and the ability to create fresh content which grows our brand and keeps our existing patients engaged.
  • Experience using social scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite or
  • Excellent copy writing skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to tailor content to different audience types.
  • Ability to analyse, report and present social and content performance metrics in line with our business growth objectives.
  • An excellent communicator who is able to work closely with members of the wider team and business to build our content strategy.
  • Experience in building SEO optimised content is advantageous.
  • A self-starter with strong organisational skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working across multiple projects at once.

  • We benchmark salaries to make sure we are competitive. The salary range on offer is £20,000- 24,000 (depending on experience).

We're headquartered in Glasgow, where this role is based, though we’re all working remotely at home during this pandemic. This role will report into our Marketing Manager Mairead Quigley and will co-locate with the Phlo team when we’re back in the office. There’s opportunity for some flexibility, but as a key part of the team this won’t be a fully remote position.
